GDSA was started by Dr. Beverly Nelson, Mrs. Tonya Hyacinth, Dr. Marta Lanza and Mrs. Meryl McQueen in 2015. Since then, GDSA have hosted a number of social and educational events, all aiming at enhancing the lives of persons and families affected by Down Syndrome. "We felt that ..... and therefore wanted to..... Since the start, we have met so many fantastic people, with and without Down Syndrome. It is a lot of work, but also amazingly rewarding." says Lotten Hagman, one of the active members of GDSA.
